CHERRYPICKED proudly presents ::::::
Jan Johnston "Alive" (c) 1994 A&M Records
So, J.J. tour and disband... but Jan makes a "solo album" with songwriter partner Tony Kirkham, from J.J. This is the album's second single (the first being "Paris") and sadly missed the UK Top 40. A very colourful video and kitsch stylised art-directed video accompanies the song. Stills from the video appeared inside the album artwork for "Naked But For Lillies" - parent album which also includes the classics "Wild Child"and "Don't Make Promises". For those who discovered Jan's dance/trance singles and fell in love with the melodies and that voice (rather than the dancebeats) then seek out BOTH Naked But For Lillies and J.J's "Intro" as they're both largely superior to anything which has come afterward.
---------------------------------------------------------
CHERRYPICKED present the very best in forgotten treasures, compiled pleasures and flop pop moments from yesteryear to the here and now.
Look out for more videos, Cherrypicked (literally), for your pop delectation soon.
