Christian Bale Had His Doubts About Jennifer Lawrence | POPSUGAR Interview

Christian Bale felt right at home in the blue-collar town of Braddock, PA, where he shot his upcoming film Out of the Furnace. We recently sat down with the actor to learn why his character's tattoo was an homage to the town, talked about his behind-the-scenes relationship with onscreen nemesis Woody Harrelson, and discussed his busy Fall; his latest film with director David O. Russell, American Hustle, also comes out this month. When we asked Bale about Jennifer Lawrence, his onscreen wife in that movie, he gave us a refreshingly candid answer about his initial doubts over casting her in the role. Out of the Furnace hits theaters on Dec. 6.
