The Whispering Shadow #8 - The Red Circle

The Whispering Shadow is a mysterious criminal, a scientific genius, who directs his agents by television and uses a radio 'death ray' to kill. Several persons are suspected of being the Shadow -- notably Professor Strang, a sinister being whose waxwork museum is known as the House of Mystery. One of the Shadow's agents, named Dupont, has been captured by the police, and is about to confess when the Shadow, by radio, warns him that if he talks he will be killed. Dupont's sweetheart, known as the Countess, believing that Strang is the Shadow, has captured his daughter, Vera and fastened upon her the 'death disc' by which the Shadow deals his death ray. Jack Foster, learning of Vera's desperate situation, is racing to her rescue in a fast police car.
