The Golden Voyage of Sinbad--What Happened to Omar?

1974's The Golden Voyage of Sinbad is one of my favorite Ray Harryhausen films, but there is a continuity gaffe near the end. Because of this gaffe, one of the characters seems to just vanish from the film right inthe middle of a fight. So here's my theory on what happened to that character.
