From the Public Domain. Mabels Blunder, was written and directed by Mabel Normand for Mack Sennett's Keystone Film Company and released October 1914. It was Mabel's 172nd film although she had only started in the movie business March, 1910.
Harry, the boss's son, and Mabel, the office girl, are secretly engaged, but Harry's father, the boss, not knowing of the engagement, is also trying to woo Mabel. A mystery woman, Eva, arrives to visit Harry and Mabel thinks Harry is two-timing her when Mabel looks through a keyhole to see Harry and Eva embracing. As Harry and Eva leave for a party, Mabel plots to trade identities with her brother (Al St John) who has arrived to chaueffeur Harry to the party. Mabel trades clothes with her brother and chaueffeurs Harry and Eva to the party and Mabel is mad and cussing all the way. Meanwhile, Harry's father, thinking Mabel's brother is Mabel, sprits the poor boy away to the party thinking he now has Mabel all to himself. The plot comes unwound in typical Keystone fashion as we discover Eva's identity.
Starring Charles Bennett as the boss, Harry McCoy as the boss's son, Mabel Normand as the office girl, Al St. John as Mabel's brother, Charley Chase as Harry's friend, and Eva Nelson as the new woman on the scene.
