MACROPOLIS is a new animated film about two disabled squeaky toys.
Discarded from a factory production line and coming to life, they rebel and chase the factory delivery van in the hope of rejoining their friends. Lost in the unfamiliar, urban big city, they discover the human world around them. By re-interpreting the things which surround them, through their unique perspectives, they begin to play with littered everyday objects to find their way back.
Commissioned by London 2012 Festival and Cultural Olympiad, MACROPOLIS is a unique short film,
The characters were animated entirely on the streets of Belfast, using an unusual blend of stop-motion animation, time lapse photography and CGi.
