To actress Ruth Chatterton (1892 - 1961).
She originally began her career on the American stage as well as a few roles in silent films. In the early 1930s when talking pictures became an enormous rage, she arrived to Warner Bros. and began her film career. Some of her Pre-Code films included "Frisco Jenny" (1932), "Female" (1933), and "Lily Turner" (1933).
When Pre-Code ended in 1934, she began to play more sophisticated roles such as her part of Fran Dodsworth in "Dodsworth" (1936). In 1938, she left Warner Bros. and returned to doing stage work upon her completing "A Royal Divorce".
