Season 1 Episode 19, 1961 Hosted by Boris Karloff , A beach bum locks onto a wealthy young woman whose sadness is as obvious as her flashy jewels and sports car. At first Ralphie Teal only desires a quick score, but when the comely Ms. Landers forgives his larceny in exchange for his serious attention, the heel sees a much bigger payoff looming, via her only relative, a harsh uncle who's loaded. Star Trek fans will recognize Susan Oliver as the girl who seduces Captain Pike in the "The Cage," the original pilot for the series. Others will remember her from a later stint on TV's Peyton Place. Genre fans may also recognize director Richard Carlson as the actor who portrayed Dr. David Reed in 1954's Creature from the Black Lagoon. In addition to directing this entry, Carlson starred in the second-season episode of Thriller entitled "Kill My Love."
