Man of Steel Michael Shannon and Antje Traue talk playing villains

Michael Shannon and Antje Traue reveal how they came up with their own interpretations of classic Superman villains in Man of Steel. "I didn't want to look too much into other interpretations," Antje said, "I sat down with Zack and said I would rather just go from scratch and do something new."

Michael Shannon also cited director Zack Snyder as a source of inspiration, adding "Zack said something really interesting once. He says, I want to make this movie like we just found on these comic books under the bed.

"And we'd never heard of it before, and we read it, and just make out own version of it."
