"Eyeglasses" Director Ezra Stone. This one's very topical, capitalizing on the popularity of bowling in America in the 1950s, and also timely because of the renaissance bowling is having here at present. Joan and Brad and friends Sally and Wally are in a couples' league together. Actor Wally Brown worked with Joan in many of her movies. The easy camaraderie here seems real, and is fun to watch. The first scene reveals that Joan may need eyeglasses. She goes to the optometrist and he prescribes them for her. There are some twists and turns plot-wise and at the end of part one Joan is given the wrong eye drops by a distracted nurse.
