"Sunken Peril" is the sixth of 15 chapters comprising Dick Tracy's G-Men, a serial produced in 1939 and released in 15 minute cliffhanger style increments.
After preventing Zarnoff from derailing a train loaded with $2.5 million dollars worth of gold, Tracy follows his only lead that Zarnoff's men have a base at a dam. Determining that it is the private Norton Dam, he and Steve investigate and find a diver coming out of the water. They capture the men on top and find boxes filled with secret American plans that would be useful in a war. Tracy takes the diver suit down into an underwater bunker to retrieve the remaining plans while Steve waits up top. Steve is ambushed by Robal, who grazes his head with a bullet, knocking him unconcious. They then bring Tracy up out of the water but stop him half way, cut his air supply and then escapes with most of the plans.
