When Joan serves Brad a raw roast for dinner, he strongly suggests that she devote less time to her "Women's Welfare League" ladies' club and more time to cooking and darning his socks. The following day the club is served with an eviction notice signed by Brad. That evening he tries to explain that he had no choice but to sign it due to a zoning issue. Joan responds by tacking an "eviction" notice to the bedroom door. Brad softens the next day and agrees to speak to the club ladies. Despite Joan's antics with an onion to make the women appear emotional, Brad storms off in a huff. That evening, the ladies stage a raucous atypical meeting at Joan's home. Brad shows up with the zoning commissioner, and a cacophony of crisis control practices ensues! Features Geraldine Carr as Mabel and Fay Baker as Nancy. On a topical note, the ladies sing a civil war song "Tenting Tonight on the Old Camp Grounds." We googled it and found that it was referenced in a recent Occupy DC protest at McPherson square regarding "no tenting."
