I Married Joan S1-04 "Jitterbug" 11/05/1952

"Jitterbug" Director Hal Walker. Writers Arthur Stander, Philip Sharp, Richard Powell. Joan gets a moving traffic violation and assumes that Brad, her husband, the judge, will go easy on her. He doesn't. The fine is $50.00, just the amount that Joan has been saving to buy a new dress. She tries to recoup the money by opening "Joanie's Diner" in her kitchen, selling an all-you-can-eat menu for a dollar. When that doesn't work, she fills in as a babysitter for a local teen, at fifty cents an hour! The boyfriend shows, and literally flings Joan into a wild jitterbug dance. Great boogie-woogie choral work here by the Roger Wagner Chorale. So fun to watch, and to listen to! The cool-cat jitterbugger is played by 20-year old Leon Tyler, who also can be seen as the snooty doorman of the Aquarium Society in the episode "Tropical Fish," also available for viewing on the JDC.
