Battlestar Galactica (often abbreviated as BSG or just Galactica) is a military science fiction serial drama television series and part of the Battlestar Galactica franchise. The show was created by David Eick and Ronald D. Moore as a re-imagining of the Battlestar Galactica television series from 1978 created by Glen A. Larson. The series first aired as a three-hour miniseries in December 2003 on the Sci Fi network and ran for four seasons thereafter, ending its run on March 20, 2009.

Kandyse McClure (b. March 22, 1980 in Durban, South Africa), resident-Canadian actress.From 2003 to 2009 she played Anastasia "Dee" Dualla on the Sci Fi Channel's Battlestar Galactica. McClure's character, a Petty Officer Second Class in the Colonial Fleet, was not featured per se in the original 1978 series, but was initially an analogue of Sarah Rush's original series character, Flight Corporal Rigel. McClure was a regular cast member until January 2009.
