Norwegian comedy drama. 'The Liverpool Goalie' is not just about football! It's all about heroes and losers, complicated friendships and romance. At the heart of the events, we find thirteen-year-old Jo. Jo is convinced that life is dangerous. In order to survive at school, he has to avoid deadly dangers at all costs, such as life-threatening sports and pretty girls. He'd much rather stick to solving math equations and collecting football cards. These are the tricks that help Jo keep his life under control. But then one day, a new girl, Mari, joins his class -- and nothing is the same again. Not only is Mari a serious football player and a math wiz kid -- she's also very cute. Jo realizes that he will have to take some risks if he wants to impress a girl like Mari. But then all at once, things seem to go wrong and Jo fears he may never see his fourteenth birthday.
