I really do think this has to be one of the best 100 western movies ever made! This movie was released in 1947 and has fallen into public domain since the copyrights were not registered or renewed in the allotted time. The Harris Poll released in Jan. of 2012 puts John Wayne 5th in America's favorite film stars he is the only deceased star on the list and the only one who has appeared on the poll every year since it first started in 1994 . This is one of my favorite western movies . Every time I watch this movie it seems to be better than I remembered .
