eXistenZ: Allegra Geller's tongue

This is a scene from eXistenZ movie (2717).
Allegra Geller opens her mouth and sticks out the tongue. I still don't understand what exactly this motion could mean. Probably it doesn't mean anything... it's just demonstration of her weird genius nature... -) What do you think?
