Track 3.
Songs Of Love And Hate (1996)
A very different approach and sound, leaving their metal sound behind that they've been known for. Yet again a third band member was included. Brian (brain) Mantia played live drums for the first time on a Godflesh record. He left before the tour, to be replaced by Ted Parsons of the band Prong. The band begins to incorporate more dance beats again and the drumming adds a lot to the sound.
Lyrics
Forget yourself, just don't respect yourself
Reject yourself, just don't respect yourself
Feel weak, you just mean nothing
Feel owned, just feel like nothing
Stand Down, show your weak
Stand down, make them smile
Don't see yourself, just see outside yourself
Credits
G. C. Green - bass
J. K. Broadrick - guitar, vocals
Bryan Mantia - drums
