* ELIZA is an actual AI-ish program developed in the 1960s. It is a type of program called a natural language processing program and functions much like psychologist. * The room within which Eliza is housed is room 802-11, a reference to the IEEE 802.11 radio standards (commonly known as wifi).

* Entering the sub-basement, players are greeted with the ominous Majestic-12 logo of the hand encompassing the earth. This suggests that Eliza was a precursor to the AI's in Deus Ex such as the Aquinas Hub, Morpheus, Daedalus, and Icarus.
