Wile E. Coyote tries to drop a rocket bomb on the Road Runner from a balloon but inflates himself instead, ascends skyward, then falls along with the bomb. He tries painstakingly to deactivate the bomb before it explodes - and fails. His attempt to trap the Road Runner on the edge of a cliff results in the cliff collapsing under his feet, sending him to the ground to be hit by his own knife and fork and then fall into a waterfall leading to a maze of pipes.

Fastest with the Mostest is a 1960 Warner Bros. cartoon in the Looney Tunes series featuring Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner (released 9 January, 1960). It was directed by Chuck Jones. No writer is credited.
Summary
The short begins with Wile E. Coyote lighting a stick of dynamite on the road, which explodes prematurely. After the opening credits, Wile chases Road Runner down a road, but Wile falls down a cliff after being unable to stop in time. Wile climbs up the cliff back to where he was, only to get startled by the Road Runner's trademark "Beep beep!" and falls back down the cliff.
1. In the next scene, Wile inhales helium and is able to float. He grabs a missile with the intent of dropping it on Road Runner from above, but his helium wears off in mid-air and he drops again. Wile lands before the missile and is cornered under a rock where the missile lands; he removes an internal wire on the missile to keep it from exploding, but it does anyway.
2. Next, Wile puts up signs for Road Runner to stop and eat some bird seed. When Road Runner stops to eat, Wile tries to lower himself from a cliff above using a bucket tied to a rope, but merely falls. Road Runner puts down a spring that catapults Wile back up, but the spring wraps around Wile and causes him to get stuck when it catches on a tree branch jutting from the cliff.
3. After that, Wile puts up a detour sign which leads Road Runner to the edge of a cliff. Wile corners him and prepares to eat him, only to fall due to a flimsy piece of rock. After falling, Wile just barely avoids being hit by a knife he was holding earlier, but his tail is hit by a fork he was also holding, causing Wile to fly into the air and catch on a tree branch with his neck bib. This causes the tree to fall to the ground, pounding Wile through the earth and into a underground cavern of water. This stream leads to a waterfall, which Wile falls off. This leads to a series of pipes, which eventually spits Wile out. The final joke in the cartoon is Wile holding up a sign that says, "I wouldn't mind- except that he defies the laws of gravity!", referring to how Road Runner is able to stand on a rock held up by nothing. Road Runner, in turn, holds up a sign that borrows from a joke in High Diving Hare "Sure- but I never studied law!"
