Samurai Jack was one of my favorite animated shows. It was funny, action packed, took risks, simple and yet imaginative. The entire story is summed up nicely in the introductory address by the villain Aku (featured in the trailer). A more elegant concept is hard to find and surprisingly the show treated the concept with respect, not downplaying the drama of a lost warrior adrift in a future without rules. There was humor, even wacky humor, but Jack never lost itself to either morose drama or undermining frivolity.
There's a rumor JJ Abrams has his eye on this adapting this series to a film. Fingers crossed.
