The nubile Inga's presence disrupts the household, stirring trouble with Greta's kept boytoy Karl (Casten Lassen) and her secret admirer Einar (Thomas Ungewitter).
Although melodramatic and trite, the film deserves a certain respect, because in an era when sexuality was a taboo in films it was one of the pioneers of erotic cinema - even if the sex scenes are pretty lame by today's standards.
Due to its steamy content and the frequent sexual activity of its beautiful young star the film did still a great deal of box-office business, and made even a certain success in countries such as the United States, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain, boosting up Sweden's reputation as a sexually liberal country.
