This is some gameplay footage of the first two levels in the Dreamcast port of the original Rainbow Six.

Yes, PC fane, we know, the PC version is the best. Duly noted. That aside, this is the best console port of the game. It even includes the Eagle Watch expansion.

To noobs who started at Vegas or newer, the original PC version of R6 was the game that put tactical FPS games on the map. Unlike the "tactical" shooters of today, it really emphasized tactics. You can even go as far as mission planning in this game choosing what team is going to enter what door, and whatnot. Granted, I've never had the patience for that myself, but it's nice to have to option for those willing to get into it. I just use the default plans, and then proceed to not follow them.

The biggest complaint I have with the DC version is the insanely complex controls. If you got this one without the book, then you'll be hurting to know how to do anything in the game aside from move and shoot. The PC original was a complex game, and the devs do a good job of translating that game to a controller, but it still makes for a very complicated, and confusing control scheme. When I first got this game I had to constantly pause the game and look at the button guide in the book in order to figure out how to do anything. I haven't played this in a while, but I still remembered some controls, but as you can see, I still struggled to remember all of the controls.
