this game was released in 2005 as a budget title, retailing for no more than $20. nowadays, I've heard it costs as less as $5 in some places.

nonetheless, it has since then been severely bashed by many game reviewers, who found it inferior, incomplete, boring, broken.

while the gameplay flaws are noticeable from afar, I still consider it one of the best games I ever played.

I believe it all lies in how you "welcome" the game, and what you expect of it. if you want a good storyline, a deadly AI and graphics from the future, then this game won't cut it.

it is a lightweight, direct, inexpensive and player-friendly action game, and I love it for what it is. if you die, you respawn. you don't have to get angry that you worked so hard to progress and got shot in the back. and, for those who find the game's missions too easy and boring, you have a mission editor.. and the internet is full of awesome missions for DFX.

speaking of the internet, there's multiplayer -- which is also awesome in its own reign.

so, by this video, I'm just saying, this game ain't that bad as they say it is. to me, it's a bit like Painkiller, but w/ more uncluttered and relaxing gameplay.
