Today I review 'Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events', a little-known and surprisingly good tie-in for the 2004 film starring Jim Carrey, Emily Browning and Liam Aiken. The game operates under some weird logic in its many fetch quests, and Browning and Aiken's hearts just aren't in their voice-work, but the controls are responsive, the lighthearted combat and platforming are satisfying and well-executed, the environments are atmospheric and detailed, and narrator Tim Curry enlivens the game with his sly wit. All in all, 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' is a solid and entertaining (if juvenile) game, and I mildly recommend it.
