Merida is a transoceanic trimaran (a multihull boat with a main hull and two smaller outrigger hulls which are attached to the main hull with lateral beams) motor yacht which is owned and operated by the French rescue company Oceanic Assistance. Previously she had different names and was owned by different entities.

Originally named Cable and Wireless Adventurer, she was designed by Nigel Irens and built by VTG (formerly known as Vosper Thornycroft) for the purpose of circumnavigating the world in less than 80 days. Construction of the yacht began in June 1997 and she was launched on 16 March 1998. This yacht successfully completed her journey around the world in July 1998 in 74 days, 20 hours, 58 minutes, traveling more than 22,600 nautical miles (41,855 km).

In 2007, the Ocean 7 charter company of South Africa bought this yacht and renamed her to Ocean 7 Adventurer. She was used for charter and rescue operations. She rescued a Delta Dore sailing yacht.

In 2008, the Rat Race Media company of South Africa used this yacht under the name of Rat Race Media Adventurer in the Aqua X television series on the kykNET television channel of South Africa.

In 2009, Cipla Foundation chartered this yacht for the Miles for Smiles initiative as a support vessel for David Grier's Madagascar Challenge of 2010 that helped raise awareness and money for surgeries for children.

The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society bought this yacht in 2010 and renamed her to MV Gojira to be used in a campaign against whaling in Japan, the Faroe Islands, and other areas. In 2011, she was renamed to MV Brigitte Bardot. Later she was damaged by a wave and repaired in 2012. In 2021, The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society sold this yacht to a private individual.

Oceanic Assistance bought this yacht in the same year and renamed her to Merida.

Merida has two diesel engines. Her top speed is 25 knots (46.3 km/h). Her length is 35 m. Her capacity is from 3 to 12 crew members. This yacht has high tech navigation and communication equipment.
