Valentine Davies was an American film and television writer, producer and director. His film credits include "Miracle on 34th Street" (1947), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Story. He was also nominated for the Best Original Screenplay for "The Glenn Miller Story". Davies also served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
