Description: Tyler Garcia Posey (born October 18, 1991) is an American actor and musician. Posey is best known for his role as Scott McCall in MTV's show Teen Wolf. Working steadily in film and television for the last decade, Posey is also the frontman and plays guitar in the band, Disappearing Jamie. Formerly called Lost in Kostko, their first performance in 2012 was at The Roxy in Los Angeles. In February 2002, Posey appeared in the film Collateral Damage. In December of that year, he also played Jennifer Lopez's son in the romantic comedy, Maid in Manhattan. In February 2002, Posey appeared in the film Collateral Damage. In December of that year, he also played Jennifer Lopez's son in the romantic comedy, Maid in Manhattan.

When he was 16, Posey auditioned for the role of Jacob Black in the Twilight film series, but lost the part to Taylor Lautner. The two have been friends since, as child actors, they regularly auditioned for the same roles.

In his breakout role, Posey was cast as the lead in the MTV television series, Teen Wolf. The series is based on the original, 1985 film, Teen Wolf. Posey plays the soft-spoken Scott, a high school student bitten by a werewolf, who has to keep his secret from his loved ones while also protecting them.

Posey also co-starred with Twilight star Booboo Stewart in the film, White Frog.

Posey also was the voice of a cartoon character in Disney's Original Pilot of SheZow. It aired on May 4, 2007 as a part of Shorty McShort Shorts miniseries.

Posey was born in Santa Monica, California, the son of Cyndi Garcia and actor John Posey. He lived in Valencia, California, and has two brothers, Jesse and Derek. Posey has Mexican, Irish, and English ancestry. Says TV mom Melissa Ponzio: "I've had the pleasure to meet his Mom and Dad, and he is the perfect mix of the two." He attended Hart High School in Santa Clarita, California.

He became engaged to his childhood friend Seana Gorlick in July 2013 but they called off the engagement in October 2014. In the summer of 2017, he began dating actress Sophia Taylor Ali following his relationship with Bella Thorne in 2016. He and Sophia broke up in 2019.
