Deep in debt and uninspired to create new content, an awkward filmmaker, Mackenzie Reynolds, is back at square one after quitting yet another job. Her younger sister, Tia, tries to show her a "cheat code" in life when she creates her a $ugar Baby profile on SugarMaybe.com to earn money and hopefully put an end to Mackenzie's self-pity and excuses. Throughout Season 1, we watch Mackenzie try things like having phone sex, sending nudes for money and even going on a few dates to find a potential sugar daddy, while keeping it all a secret from her intrusive roommates, Dorian and Cheyenne.
