Interesting to start with, but hard to watch now

When it first started, I wasn't sure whether I would like Glee. I was interested somewhat but the comparisons to the High School Musical franchise, which I dislike very much, put me off. I still watched the show to start and did enjoy it to start with(if to compare to HSM, this is much better), particularly for the charming production values, sprightly choreography and catchy music. However, by Season 2 Glee for me went downhill and I soon got bored of it. The writing became very clichéd and lazy, the stories uninteresting, episodic and lacking in freshness(I wasn't a fan of the Lady Gaga episodes or the Rocky Horror Picture Show one) and the characters dull and indifferent. The acting was decent to start with, but then you had the sense the actors were starting to get bored with their characters, Naya Rivera is one of about three exceptions to properly inject life into the character she plays. All in all, interesting at first but once it ran out of ideas and became lazier and duller it became hard to watch. 3/10 Bethany Cox

Glee is one the most original and clever TV series in last time. I like, that they teach about teenager life through music and popular songs.

I love glee I can't wait until march 7th to see if Rachel is pregent with body or Finn baby and to see if Santana and Quinn will become Quintana.

A disgrace to music as well as television.

I'm sorry to tell you this decent music lovers, but this has happened; intrusion.
As you may know today's music is well.. music?. No, it's not it's the disgrace and insult that we decent music lovers so desperately feared would happen and it did. Now not only are they putting it all over the radio and making today's generation never fully experience proper, decent and the official music that once existed but they have now made a TV show, so now it's all over our TV screens.
They've remade legendary, classic and decent music and remade/turned it into teen drivel and by surrounding it with unwanted teen pregnancies, open gays with over expressive sexualities and a dumb teenager who has a crush on her teacher.
I pity the people who enjoy this and class it as "entertainment at it's best".
This truly is a show for dumb, naive and depressed teenagers, and I couldn't care less I just despise how they've mocked and ashamed proper music into the likes of today's society. That's what I hate. Despite all the different view points I probably would hate this show anyway.

Glee presents a nascent high school glee club ready to blossom with the right talent and encouragement.
The lead characters from the adviser to the historically unpopular glee club members are genuinely engaging and attractive, albeit even as occasional subjects of hyperbole.
Our family found it hard to resist the show's charm. From teenagers to parents we were hooked and are anxious for more.
It will be challenging to keep up the level of production demonstrated in the pilot episode, but if Glee manages, Fox will have a truly great hit on its hands.
Lea Michele deserves special mention for her clear, powerful voice and high energy whether moving or standing still. As a sophomore desperate for fame she's credible and her dream doesn't seem impossible when you hear her sing.

Not The Greatest but not bad also

Let me tell ya, I really enjoy musicals, and coming in this I thought I'd be really hooked, but I wasn't not because I watch enough shows already, but because it's a high school drama. I'm 20 now and I don't need another high school drama I already had enough when i was in high school, but the bursting out into song is awesome. I love the random singing out of nowhere, its great, and the singing isn't terrible its like a musical. So not to bad of a show, hate the high school drama, but the bursting out in to song...awesome!
