What is your secret movie that you adore?

But of course you don't tell anyone. I know you have one. If you post please explain why you love it in a small paragraph I'm going to compile a list if I get enough answers.
As for me, mine is 'The Princess Diaries.'
The reason I love it so much is because, when it came out I was the perfect age to fall in love with it. It was the first film I saw Ann Hathaway in, who currently is in my top 5 favorite actresses. Also memories flood whenever I watch it of me and my childhood bff belting the soundtrack wherever we go. Lastly, to be honest, it's got a good story and overall is just a feel good movie.

The Neverending Story
I watch it now and it's 100% nostalgia for me. Lots of people who didn't grow up with it think it's pretty lame. Personally I love the movie and I love the book. Gmork scared the crap out of me as a kid! Still does too... but yeah, it's definitely a movie I don't always mention because most people find it lame. Yet if you grew up with it like I did, you probably love it too.

The Secret of NIMH
I grew up with this film on a VHS tape and I never got tired of watching it. The film took it's audience seriously even though it was aimed at kids. I love it when a film tries to scare children it's so scary to watch but man is it cool! The story was exciting, the characters were interesting and at times even deep and complex, and the origin story of the rats of NIMH gives me chills to this day. It's a film that everyone can watch and enjoy no matter how old you are. It's just a shame it's overlooked because I really loved this film. Thank you for your time :)

Well, I don't have a secret movie that I adore, because I don't hide my tastes for movies or any other media in general. I don't show my appreciation for anime as freely as I do with movies due it its more reduced acceptance, so I might say Evangelion 2.0 and Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, 2 movies not so known to the western cultures, are my picks for this.

I really love My Best Friend's Wedding. I can't help but watch it every time it's on TV. It's not even a great film, there's just something really nice about it that I love watching.

I never really tell anyone that I like Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer though I don't necessarily hide it.

get this to 10 and we got a list

That's a hard one cause I don't usually hide what I love. But one that's towards the top that I never really talk about is Twister. I loved that movie and still can't turn it off if I stumble upon it. I'm not embarrassed by it though. One I don't normally tell people because I don't want to have to explain or hear them mock is the original Clash of the Titans from the early 90's. It's a family thing and it reminds me of my grandparents who have both passed.

castaway on the moon
In particular I love the meaning given to a "bowl of black bean noodles"..
beautiful movie

OMG 1 MORE!

I love High School Musical, if that counts (made for TV movie). It's adorable and while I don't like highschool stereotypes, I thought they weren't so bad in this movie. Plus I love musicals and dancing so it's just a win/win.

My guilty pleasure is Brokeback Mountain. I love that movie a ton! The direction and story are great and I love the music too. I'm a horror and sci-fi nut so so people I know don't believe me when I tell them why I've seen this movie over 10 times....ha.

My guilty pleasure is... well, all Eddie Murphyยดs movies :$

Saw II. Not actually a secret, though. Tobin Bell's ice cold and chilling performance makes it a masterpiece in my eyes.

Although, strictly speaking, not really a secret but I would like to say Clueless here! It's funny and I really like Alicia Silverstone's performance and her character is very likable. Cher Horowitz breaks the stereotype that the most popular girl is nothing but a b*** or a jealous, hell-raising woman. The jokes are funny and the ending was quite shocking though! I have other films in mind but I'm going for this now!

Robin Hood, the disney movie. I sing the songs from this movie, and people ask what I'm singing, I just laughed. It's a good movie, really funny and cute! I LOVE Robin Hood, it's my superhero!

Short Circuit 2
I have no idea why on earth I love it so much. I love it so much that when I went to Comic Con a few years back I met the writer of both the films, and got his autograph. I paid for an autograph to a horrible film in which I know is horrible but cannot shake my childhood fascination of how much of a badass Johnny Five is so I adore it still to this day and still watch it every time I see on late night TV even though I own the DVD and wish to own the Blu Ray so I can hide it in my sock drawer so nobody knows I own it.

Wayne's World
Obviously I'm aware that it's "low brow" entertainment defined, but dammn, it just puts a smile on my face. Not everything I watch has to be Tarkovsky, dammit
