Who is your favourite tv chef.

So many of them really talk about too many cooks spoiling the broth. I used to dig those two fat ladies, but that's a while ago. I think Ainsley is pretty good. I was not a big Jamie Oliver fan, but I loved that series he did trying to improve schoolkids diets

I had a look at Alton Brown's website. He has a fun approach yes. And he is a professor Peabody fan! He also looks like hima bit :)
Antony Worrall Thompson I know of. He makes good practical dishes that are very mouthwatering. I found this page with some of his recipes fooditv

Michael Smith from Chef At Home show.

Unlike all the other chefs, this guy teaches you just to go with your instincts, experiment, blend flavors, have fun. Basically, he teaches you how to become a chef for your family, NOT about following recipes or cookbooks.

Jamie Oliver, the 'Naked Chef', is also great.

I am also a big fan of a tv show called the Iron Chef challenge. It is an amazing Japanese show with top chefs competing to make the best dishes within 1 hour around a theme ingredient. Somewhere between Gladiators and Ready Steady Cook I suppose. It has been on cable in North America with English voiceover as well as in my country. And there has been a US version too.

In Australia we have a few good ones too. Ian Hewitson is a guy I like. I have also been to his restaurant in Melbourne

KingFahtah, yes that is a show I watch a lot over here (the ITV cooking one). They certainly have a lot of originality when it comes to new stuff, like This recipe which I really want to try sometime.

I'm not a fan of Jamie Oliver. When you're constantly seeing him in adverts and shows over here he gets old fast...

I like Gordon Ramsey too and the one who's always little bit drunk... Floyd or something?

I'm a fan of Anthony Bourdain from The Discovery Channels, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, mainly because of his book, Kitchen Confidential.
Normally I can't stand watching any tv chef except old clips of Julia Child.

If uber and gareth were mixed together they would kind of look like Alton Brown.

Gordon Ramsey is great, but i prefer his restaurant-saving show, rather than Hell's Kitchen. He's too much of a prick in HK. lol... it's more gimmick than actual food-related show.
