X-Men: The Last Stand

So, what did you think?

I thought it was very good, but not as good as X2. The mutant-on-mutant fighting was cool, but it wasn't as character-driven as the first two movies were. It didn't have as much heart.

It was good enough, but I'm saddened when they depart from the plotline of the comic (esp that much).

Not sure why they wanted to end the movies -- they've gotta make $$$. Also, I heard there was a big 'after the credits' bit where it seems like Prof X is still alive. I missed that bit, darnit.

I always sit through the credits, just in case there's a tag or easter egg or whatever you want to call it at the end.

Yeah, sitting through the credits owns. The movie theater people always try to kick you out though.....

I HATED X3. It makes me want to cry.

I know I am in the vast minority on this one but I actually really enjoyed X3, maybe even more than the other two. Yeah they departed from the comic quite a bit and there was a lot of stupid stuff I didn't care about but I really, really enjoyed the way they handed Jean's whole "not being able to control myself" thing.

This movie could have been better, the only good thing was the fights.

I really liked the first X-Men and I missed the second one. I wasn't impressed with the third one at all. Maybe because I felt like I wasn't sure what was going on due to missing the second one. I sure do like Hugh Jackmann!!!

I finally saw it and I thought it was pretty good. It moves kinda quickly though. Plus, you shouldn't call a movie "The Last Stand" if you're gonna leave openings for another one.

I really didn't like it at all. The plot was pretty lame, and there was hardly any character stuff. Visually it was pretty good, but otherwise? Lame.

I actually kinda enjoyed it. Never read the comics, though. They won't be making any more X-Men movies, but I've heard their working on Wolverine's story.

As long as they bring back Professor X I don't think X-Men 4 is completely out of the realm of possibility, even though The Last Stand has pretty much dropped the chances of a sequel next to zero. 20th Century Fox has to keep making X-films if they don't want the rights to revert back to Marvel Studios, last time I checked.

I guess they could have Iceman, Shadowcat, Colossus, and Angel take up the mantle, become the new X-Men, maybe begin a new trilogy (kinda like Pirates of the Caribbean seems to be trying to do). Shawn Ashmore is contracted for another movie. Anna Paquin isn't, but Rogue gave up her powers so she's out anyway. Jubilee had cameos in the previous films like Colossus and Kitty did before they graduated from students to junior X-Men, so maybe the same could happen for her at some point.

New villains will be needed too, what with Magneto and Mystique having both lost their powers. I'd like the Purifiers. A group of fundamentalist terrorists is fairly topical. It could kinda be like an all-human anti-X-Men.

Since Prof. X's in his brother's body maybe he can actually walk now. He'll probably need years of physical therapy to build up all that atrophied muscle mass and relearn how to walk, but another movie will take at least that long to make so the fictional to real life timeframe works out, and by that time Iceman, Shadowcat, and Colossus will be adults and roughly the same age as Cyclops, Jean, and Storm were back in 2000.

I'd like Beast to return.
