Worst Sequel Ever Made

Bambie II - Sucked like Hell.
Cinderella II & III - Why did they even make this shit?
Crocidile Dundee 1&2 - Just plain stupid. Cheesy lines, worst plots ever and totally untalented actors.
Lady & the Tramp II - ...
Jurassic Park 2&3 - Totally ruined the whole Jurassic Park series.
Bad Boys II - Can't believe they actually made a sequel as bad as this.
Scream 1&2 - Not worth the time spent watching them.
Men in Black 2 - Piece of crap.
The Never Ending Story 1&2 - Stupid. Both of them.

Jeepers Creepers 2
The Neverending Story 2
The Matrix 2
Batman Forever, and Batman and Robin
Star Wars Episode 1, 2, 3.
Luckily, I've only watched one Disney sequel, and that was The Lion King 2. I've been avoiding them ever since.

I disagree about The Matrix: Reloaded. It built and expanded on the themes and ideas in the first, whilst adding new ones. Which makes it a worthy sequel, in my eyes. Revolutions, I can agree with, however.

Yes, Lion King 2 was retarded.

all Disney straight-to-video/dvd sequels are crap, crap, CRAP.
suitable only for children under 6, and even then, if they really want to see Nemo again, you can usually just put on the original movie.
boycott them!
also, X3 sucked, apart from the hilarious named Kitty Pryde, played by Ellen Page. (Supports my analysis that the X-men movies are pretty much queer allegories...)

Major League 2. They repeated the plot of the (very funny) first movie almost to the letter - but somehow managed to take every drop of funny out.

Well, I thought that Harry Potter 5 sucked something fierce. The book was so much better.

i agree harry potter 5 sucked i watched it and there was not one happy moment in there!

The Neverending Story 3 - There was nothing good about that movie. Everything was total crap from the dialogue to the acting to the effects...EVERYTHING!!

I agree with The Neverending Story but it should be the first sequel, The Neverending Story II: The Next Chapter (1990). Poor Jonathan Brandis must have killed himself because of this movie! Actually the lowest rated movie on IMDb right now is a sequel, Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 (2004).

I generally cut sequels some slack since I'm usually convinced they're going to suck from the get-go. But some of the worst ones, in my opinion, are:
Batman and Robin, definitely. To a lesser extent, Batman Forever. Just because Batman and Robin was so bad it makes Batman Forever almost look good.
Most Disney sequels are bad. The ones that hurt my brain the most: Cinderella 2: Dreams Come True, Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Enchanted Christmas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2, and An Extremely Goofy Movie.
Don Bluth's films are, like, required to have the most god awful sequels, it seems. All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 really really irritates me because its wrecks everything good about the first one (and by extension the series and the Christmas movie also bastardize my childhood). Same goes for the 100000 Land Before Time sequels. And don't even get me started on the Secret of NiMH 2...
The Brave Little Toaster sequels. Just...wow...
Horror sequels I'm generally OK with. There's two major reasons I watch horrors: 1 - for good, scary, thought-provoking, or fun films or 2 - cheesy, silly, ridiculous, and stupid movies. I love a good bad horror.
There's probably a lot more too, but these are the ones that immediately jump to mind.

Love your comment, Artemis Panthar!!
That reminded me of Poltergeist 3. I thought number 2 was alright, but 3 was really bad in my opinion.

Pocahontas 2 just completely destroyed the first one for me!!
Saw IV and V: One word, Hoffman! He bugs me...
The Prince and me: all sequels
Mortal Kombat Annihalation: so wrong, except for Kitana...
Home Alone 3 was great (completely new character, I love Alex), but 4 was aweful.
And probs many more...

Worst sequels never made:
Bourne 4: Stillbourne
Se7en 2: F0urt33n

Batman and Robin. Definitely. And I was even on board with Batman Forever.

I think for the "worst sequel" you have to choose a first one with the highest rating to get the greatest divergence possible. Would be in my case Starship Troopers. The first one is 10/10, the sequel is an insult. But I havn't seen the sequel to 2001, that would certainly suite the downfall of a perfect rating to an insult.

Thanks Bob - I couldn't agree more!
And for me the greatest divergence possible would be between Caddyshack (1980) and Caddyshack II (1988).

Caddyshack 2
Oh yeah, just what fans of the film want; the first movie, but with no Chevy CChase, Rodney Dangerfield, or Bill Murrhay

Caddyshack sequel - more importantly did it have the gopher?

The Ring Two
Superman IV
Wrong Turn 3
Hostel: Part III
Lake Placid 2

Lake Placid 2

I usually avoid the Batman and Spiderman movies they crank out every couple years. Meet the Parents was fun, but Fockers 2 and 3 seemed like they were milking it.

Harriet the spy - the first part is one of the best movies I've ever seen.. the sequel is one of the stupidest I've seen.
Home alone 3
