Why upload duplicates??

So I've recently had to report duplicates of pics I've uploaded already. Someone added the same set of pics, ones that were a little smaller but low quality and blurry. I don't get it. If you clearly see pics already been uploaded, why upload it again? I can understand if the original was blurry or the pic was really small or something but most of the time the original upload is already in high quality and big enough size, so a dupe is really unnecessary. Then I was gonna report these other dupes but they were only slightly bigger than the one uploaded first (the original is sized 1200x1799 and the duplicate is 1280x1919, should I still report?)

Obviously if you see pics have already been uploaded and they are large/high quality, maybe don't upload it again? At least try to look through the gallery before uploading a pic. I try my best not to upload duplicate pics and I would hope if I do someone would reach out to me and let me know so I can delete it or if not they are deleted in a timely manner by a mod

Unfortunately, this is an old story. People simply do not check to see what has been added already.

i once had pics i uploaded years ago deleted in favor of dupes that were literally the same size but i don't even report duplicates that much anymore because it's so common and half the time mods don't even delete them. i send in recent reports but i don't know if they'll ever be removed. i remember when you could be banned from uploading for months because of duplicate pic violations but guess they don't do that no more. i probably have uploaded dupes myself which yeah i try not to but nothing gets done about it so i don't really upload pics that much anymore

Duplicates are a big problem. They get profiles closed and use up space on the Listal servers. I've reported thousands of duplicates in the past 10 years. I too don't understand why individuals have no posting disipline. I realize I have posted duplicates, but whenever I recongnize that I delete my post. I even delete posts where individuals have increase the size of pictures just so thier posts won't be deleted - because why fight that battle? Thanks for bringing that topic to the forefront.
