From the patent app:

"Media objects, such as images or soundtracks, may be ranked according to a new class of metrics known as "interestingness." These rankings may be based at least in part on the quantity of user-entered metadata concerning the media object, the number of users who have assigned metadata to the media object, access patterns related to the media object, and/or a lapse of time related to the media object."

Lame patents ahoy!

santos, flickr rocks my socks..really fabulous with copyright levels for posting with various levels for viewing (ie, private, public, friends, family..) I use webshots as well and Flickr is better in my estimation

i checked out flickr and webshots, but i use Google Picasa Web Albums instead. Ability for one-click upload and download with Picasa is a winning feature for me.

about flickr, whats current limit for photo sizes, total number of storage, and do they have one-click entire folder uploads as well?

Prelude76: I don't believe there is a limit on photo sizes, but you have 100mb upload limit (determined by bandwidth, not the size of the photos you upload), or unlimited for a pro-account.

Not sure about the entire folder uploading, but there is a desktop application for uploading. Not used it so can't say whether it has an entire folder feature.
