DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO LIMIT MY SELECTION TO THREE QUOTES?! I keep a MS document on my folder and everytime I hear a great quote, I add it to my list. It's over 10 pages long now. But, having read over some of the quotes on it, I have to say that some of my favorite quotes of all time are actually from books. I should see if there is a forum on here for book quotes...

I love this quote. It is perfectly delivered by Bogart, and just shows Rick's angst. I tend to use this quote anytime I see a girl at a joint, thinking "damn why she have to come here of all places."

While there are much famous lines in this film, this is the line that sticks out of the original trilogy for me. The whole scene creates a sense of despair, especially for the audience. The work of Fran Walsh, Peter Jackson, and Philippa Boyens on the Lord of the Rings trilogy is some of the most underrated script ever written. This line from Gandalf is probably the best in the series providing hope for a young Frodo.
