Grrr, I hate this question. But I've said it before, and for now I'll say it again:
Alfred Hitchcock's "NOTORIOUS".
Aaugh, that was difficult! What about the mood I'm in? What about English language vs. 'foreign' language? What about B&W vs. color-print? What about technical merits vs. performances/story? What about comercial vs. art-house?
What about 'after dinner but before I raid the fridge for a beer on a humid summer evening' movie vs. 'Late March icy morning rain-showers, floor-boards nipping at my toes, 'why the hell would I ever want to go outside and start my day' movie?
ok, ok, ok... "Notorious"

Back to the Future. Got it for Christmas like 3 years ago, it's been my favorite ever since.

I think mine would officially be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Even though I havent seen the second part, I'm sure it'll be amazing

Raging Bull (1980). Has been for 13 years now and there hasn't been another movie that I've even considered replacing it with.

Damn, that is a tough one! I'll have to go with Brick (2005). That could change tomorrow. Everything just works in that movie. It is the detective story of our era. Such a smart and well though out film. Brick, should be a nationally preserved film. No, I am not on any type of medication.

Depends on the moment... right now I think it would be pulp fiction

Showgirls. Been my favorite movie since 1998 and forever will be!

The Empire Strikes Back. I doubt I'll ever watch another movie that I'll like more, but here's to hoping for a future of great movies!

The Seventh Seal ;)

It's hard to pick a favorite. There are so many movies I adore, and after I watch one of them it becomes my "favorite" until I watch the next one.
Some that I keep coming back to are:
Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Amรฉlie
Terry Gilliam's Brazil
Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo
Marx Brothers' Animal Crackers
If I had to pick just one it'd probably be Vertigo. I love everything about the film, even the goofy animated segment when James Stewart has his psychological break. Just hearing the soundtrack during the opening titles gives me goosebumps.

The William Wyler Epic, Ben-Hur, Starring Charlton Heston!

I like most things mainstream and enjoy a lot of things widely unknown to the western peoples.
With that said, my favorite movie of all time is The Dark Knight. It blew me away, it exceeded my already high expectations. I left the cinema so euphoric, I had to go again.
Wall-E as a close runner up and the LOtR trilogy as one in a rightful 3rd place.
Now if I had to put aside all these big-budgeted Hollywood flicks, then I would pick Jin-Roh and City Lights.

Impossible to pick just one -
but if I absolutely Had to
It would be E.T.
Because that is the movie
that made me fall in love with going to the movies.

I Would Also Say Planet Of The Apes..... Another Great Movie Starring Charlton Heston

A Clockwork Orange, The Shining and The Matrix.

Well, I have millions of these .

The Notebook!Great movie!

Walt Disney's Fantasia.

There are so many good movies I have seen that I have rated 10/10 so it would be hard for me to sit down and pick what is the best one. It would have to be Blood Diamond, American History X, Fight Club or even Candy that is my favorite. There are many more films that have touched me in some way and that I really enjoyed when I watched them. Choosing your favorite movie is definitely a hard thing to do.

Toy Story 3.

Kill Bill :]

I'm gonna be boring, and say Inception...

Inception does not make you boring...come on, its your profile pic! Inception is definitely in my top 5, but my all time favorite has to be American Psycho.

Groundhog Day

Casablanca.

I would even chose Fight Club!

Pulp Fiction.

My favorite would be Robin Hood: Men In Tights. I've seen it so many times and I still find it incredibly funny.

The Departed, Goodfellas, and American Beauty. Though others are extremely close.

Andrei Rublvev. That one seemed pretty flawless (by my own personal standarts naturally). It doesn't mean I can watch it when I'm in any kind of mood. Viridiana is my fav Nr. 2.

If I had too pick one it would have to be Mallrats. I never get tired of the movie

I guess I'm still a kid at heart because mine is The Lion King.
