I think that it would be a way to bring users closer if on the main page there was a poll ( movies might be the main attraction ) "What movie you are eager the most this month/week kind of think, and a way to vote and comment =)

Sounds like a great idea. And users can submit ideas for polls on the forums. Either that or have a similar poll every month, like "Favorite new releases?" and a list of the month's/week's main movies.

Cant go wrong with polls :)

Also, how about user made polls, that can be attached to your own user profile? Something for people to do while they visit other peoples profiles :)
