Way to change the Category of an Item?

I know there isn't right now a method so you can change the category of an item.
But is there a possibility for an update so we can do that? It is very frustrating to create new Items just because new Categories were created [Web TV and Comic Categories in our case].
Of course I am glad for these categories to exist, but we need to put a function to change an Item when we need it.
