Vista

anyone using Windows Vista as their main OS?
thoughts/comments?
I've been on it, and i think it looks and feels sexy, but so many incompatibilities force me to keep XP as dual-boot OS, and also getting quite a few Blue Screens on Vista, a lot more than I ever got in XP. So I have mixed views on it.
any else took the evil plunge?

I received a labtop lately, with Windows Vista right on it. It looked awesome, especially with the bar on the bottom. What I did was set my mouse to Small, and I feel this completed the effect. Of course, I can't give too much more information on it. It sort of shut down, and now I can't get back to the desktop. My mother has since been very protective of her computer.
Like I said, it looks great. It also has a few cool features, including a new game called Purble Place. I found that my internet connection got progressively worse on it, though I'm not sure what was responsible for this.

I also got a laptop with Vista already installed. It really is sexy as hell. I love the whole layout. I haven't used the laptop that much so far, so I don't think I could give an accurate review of any flaws... the only thing that's given me grief so far is how it asks for permission for just about everything. I hate Mac and I hate the Mac commercials, but there was one where they were making fun of Vista's overprotective prompts and it was quite true.
Otherwise, nothing else seems to be terribly wrong. Though I hear rumors it's a terrible system to have for pirates. I don't remember exactly what was said, but something like Microsoft can/will be using it to watch people? Probably some boogieman bullshit, but I've seen some crazy hacker nonsense in my day and now I'm just a little paranoid.
But that's okay, I do all my thieving on my main PC which is still XP.

Vista is a pain in my ***. I have to support it for people who just want it because it's new. The crappiest thing is that a lot of important business software hasn't been updated to work with it yet.

I haven't switched over yet because I'm still hearing that drivers suck.
But when I hear that the drivers are good I'm switching because it looks great and add a couple features that seem useful.

drivers do suck. most of my blue screens are caused by nvidia dlls, and thats using official latest WHQL nvidia drivers.
but i love the little things in it, like preview of videos in thumbnails, and even if you minize a movie, and do mouse-over in taskbar, it shows a live mini-preview box of the movie (if its still playing, that is). everything is just so slick.
But for XP users, you can get maybe 80% of the sexiness easily into your XP Install. I've tried it and it works amazing:
