VIP membership

As some people have been asking I decided to open up the VIP membership option here for the first time in over a year :

Cost : £10/year or approx $20/year

Benefits :

- VIP members tag on your profile and in forum posts.
- No adverts throughout the site.
- No adverts for other users or anonymous visitors visiting your profile page and other pages within your subdomain (e.g. pages within tom.listal.com)

I am open to other suggestions for other advantages as well.

Upgrade by clicking the homepage and click the buy now buttom (under 'Collection stats')

suggestion: VIP get perks such as color schemes and / or background textures when they log into listal.com

Thanks for upgrading Prelude, the error was probably when I was changing some settings. Maybe with enough of these I can get my ageing computer upgraded!

Just like to say that I'm glad its been opened up again, yet I'm also thankful that there is a definition between VIP member and founding member. ;) Thats all for me right now...

ha tom, just when i thought about opening a thread if there is a possibility to donate or the like. now i only had to lend my wife's credit card (don't have one, i'm awfully conservative regarding plastic money) and upgrade. hope it helps a little to show my repsect for your hard work, altough i'd like to see some donation-button either way (just in case i can snatch my wife's credit card again *g*). keep on the great work and let's hope some other users "go VIP" too :).

Do you get a cut when people use the "By at Amazon.com" link? If so then can we have a "By at Amazon.co.uk" too?

In games section, for UK versions of titles, there is an amazon.co.uk link, rather than an amazon.com link

not sure how DVD section looks though

but yes, i'd imagine he gets a cut, as his affiliate # is included in all buy @ amazon links.

@thillian: hmm, i don't really want to mess up tom's vip account-management with multiple subscriptions ;).

@tom: regarding vip account-management, how about some extra field in "my profile" where i can see when my membership expires? will we get a mail some time before it expires?
