Video games you're looking forward to

What video games have caught your eye recently that are either not released yet or you haven't picked up yet?
I was browsing the Nintendo e-Shop to see what new things have cropped up, and I found a picture of a cowboy armadillo on the picture for the "Coming Soon" section. The trailer for his game, Dillon's Rolling Western, ended up requiring a download so I just checked it later on Youtube. After seeing it, I've been officially looking forward to this game. It's an original Nintendo IP, too (it's been a while, I know), and looks to be a unique one, involving 3D action-adventure gameplay mixed with that of tower defense games. I read here that the controls need work, but it's still in development so there's always time for that.

I'm looking forward to Silent Hill: Downpour. A lot of critics didn't like the previous game in the series, Homecoming, but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
Also, being a Megami Tensei nut, I'm looking forward to the version of Persona 4 coming out on the Playstation Vita next year.

Hitman: Absolution, Silent Hill: Downpour. There are also a couple of new Resident Evil games coming out. Bring it on! :)

I'm also looking forward to Downpour and the supposed remake of Fatal Frame II for the Nintendo Wii. Also, Last Guardian.

Did you manage to fix your PS3, ape?
Nope. It wasn't fixable...Somehow the system got so hot that the solder actually spewed out from beneath the CPU. Instead I bought a used system of the same model, which I wouldn't have done had I known that hard drives aren't compatible with different systems without reformatting.
On the plus side, I feel completely comfortable taking apart and putting together a PS3 now, so if a similar issue happens again, and it's fixable, I should have no problems.
As for the PS Vita sales, that's disappointing. I would have thought that the sales would have been good in Japan...Perhaps if they can get a few "must have" titles, the sales will jump, like 3DS sales did. The Vita seems like a really neat handheld...I hope it doesn't die before its full potential is used.

I'm interested for these for now.

BioShock Infinite
Tales of the Abyss for 3DS
Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure for the 3DS

I wasn't into it at first, but THIS impression has piqued my interest in Kid Icarus: Uprising. Formerly, it looked like a basic combination of rail flight shooter and ground brawler, but with all this talk about customizable weapons and the videos of multiplayer gameplay, I'm sold.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier looks pretty badass, and mighty slick. Guess we'll see if the gameplay holds up.

I can't wait for Resident Evil 6! I'm so obsessed with that series. I also hope to see Half Life 3 be announced someday soon lol

Fatal Frame for the 3DS - April - this year...yes. I've got so much bejesus I've been saving up just for the right game to scare it out of me. The bejesus is ready to be scared.

I got DRW, It's ok. The 3D on it is awesome :). I can't wait for the new Animal Crossing for 3DS! :O
you can watch the trailer on your 3DS. It's better when you watch it like that.
And also @astroman are you serious? I am officially ready to be scared by 3D ghosts.

I'm looking forward to Far Cry 3 & Bioshock Infinite, especially Infinite. Anyone see the video for Infinite where the girl briefly sends them forward in time to the eighties? I hope they expand on that in the game itself.

After reading THIS article detailing Nintendo Power's coverage of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, I can say my apprehension is much lower and I'm on board so long as the information is correct.
Here are the good points:
-Trevor and Simon are both playable, along with two other characters.
-The Belmont featured in one of the screenshots of the Nintendo Power article is swinging with his whip a la Indiana Jones or, more pertinently, Simon Belmont in his Super Castlevania IV incarnation.
-It will be styled after the DS Castlevanias, with 3D segments added; that's okay by me so long as it's mostly a Castleroid.
The combat system and overall look of the game are looking to be a lot like that of the Griptonite Spider-Man games, and the space-time warping in which you take control of different characters in their respective places sounds extremely Shattered Dimensions-esque. I'm not sure how I feel about that yet; but, like I said, if the rest of the story checks out I'll be happy with it.
THIS article includes a few other points as well.

There's a solid rumor Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue I and II HD have already been made and Sega's waiting for the right time to release them. It would be so cool if Shenmue III can be made.

I'm very excited for a handful of late 2012 or 2013 games: The Last of Us, Tomb Raider, Beyond: Two Souls, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil 6, and the game I'm most excited for is Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. It's weird, because I've been so anti-this-generation because I'm so absolutely tired of Call of Duty and Halo and Sports games being "the big ones" that I've tended to catch up on older games or buy the game here or there that seems interesting. I've also been anti-western games for a while, but I've opened up a bit. I will never be a FPS or sports gamer, but I realize there are some smaller companies that deserve love (Ninja Theory, Quantic Dream) and even some big ones that make wonderful games (Naughty Dog, Eidos). But frankly, I'm tired of the anti-Japanese state of Western gaming, and I praise publishers like Atlus and XSEED who still bring games I want, and even if I don't really have interest in a game they publish, I'm happy they are bringing niche games here for people that do enjoy them.
I get a bit sad when I realize that colorful, vivid worlds teeming with creativity in it's locales, creatures, and mythos have taken a back seat to realism. Videogames are escapism.
I've went off on a tangent, I apologize.

Forgot about the big Japanese localized heavy hitters: Ni no Kuni, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Kingdom Hearts 3D, and Tales of Xilia!

Dead Space 3!
I am excited for the co-op mode, if I can get someone to play with me it will be so much fun. Also just happy to see another game in the series.

Super Smash Bros for 3DS. Play this game in a handheld will be a dream coming true.

Pokemon X, as long as it brings back the Musicals and Movies, and not the difficult Cntests and Pokeathlon.

I'll try and stick to newer releases here:
Angry Birds Trilogy (3DS)
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate (3DS)
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (3DS)
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS)
- the 3DS is probably the next system I'll get... with Link to the Past 3D announced there is more than enough on the system. However, I should definitely play the copy of Luigi's Mansion for the cube I got before getting Dark Moon.
Devil May Cry (PS3)
Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster (PS3)
Kingdom Hearts 1.5D Remix (PS3)
Metal Gear Rising Revengance (PS3)
Tomb Raider (PS3)
- Most of these (outside the X/X2 remaster and Kingdom Hearts) I'm just waiting for a better price although some of them have gone down a lot... Tomb Raider didn't come out that long ago and it's now at $40. Still want to play Devil May Cry despite the hate for it... after playing DMC4 I didn't think a reboot was really needed.
Lego City Undercover (WiiU)
- A Wii U is really a long way off for me, but this looks a little more robust than some of the other Lego games I've played.

Besides Shenmue, I'm looking forward to these games the most:
The Walking Dead Season 2, Beyond Good & Evil 2, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, and HL2 episode 3. I'm mildly excited about GTA V and Mirror's Edge 2.
edit: Plants vs. Zombies 2 looks like crappy Facebook game now.

Shin Megami Tensei IV (3DS) - Most likely, it'll be my favorite game of the year. I'm a huge fan of the franchise, and I've got high expectations for the fourth entry in the main series.
Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (Wii U) - I was a big fan of Wind Waker and was planning on re-playing it at some point this year...And then Nintendo announced the HD remake, and I decided to hold off and wait for this version. Can't wait to play it again.
WWE 2K14 (Playstation 3) - With 2K Games publishing the game now, I'm curious to see if the WWE franchise continues down the path it's been on the past few years or if we get something radically different. I'll be buying it either way, 'cause I'm a wrestling nerd, but I am looking forward to seeing if 2K Games brings anything new to the table.

I plunked down the money on a 3DS XL and nabbed a copy of Ocarina of Time. I've never played Ocarina of Time and kind of wanted to play it before playing any other 3D Zeldas (my friend in Canada sent me Twlight Princess and Windwaker)... so I'm hoping I see what everyone else sees in this thing. I had heard the refinements in the 3DS version have some saying this is a very good port/rebuild.
As for Windwaker HD I was a little taken back by what the retail price was listed as at Gamestop. If Nintendo is really asking full price for this HD remake I wish them the best of luck... doesn't really seem right with other HD games/collections running $40 or below. But it will sell regardless I'm sure.

For me I am waiting o get to my hands these games:
Shin Megami Tensei IV
Dragon Crown
Dark Souls 2

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Call of Duty: Ghosts

There's one called Forgotten Memories supposed to be coming out for Wii U and probably PS3/4. http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2013/07/25/forgotten-memories-coming-to-ps3-ps4-pc-vita-wii-u-and-ios/ Check it out.

Was looking forward to the Castlevania: Lord of Shadows Collection but then I read that 3/4 of the damn thing is DL vouchers and only vanilla LoS (which I already have on disc) is the only thing on the disc. I'll buy Mirror of Fate HD off of the PSN but I'm don't want to have pointless case and redundant disc lying around.

Almost a year and a half later and most of the titles that I listed earlier have been released. Some of them excellent (Bioshock: Infinite, Hitman: Absolution, Grand Theft Auto V) others a disappointment (Metal Gear Solid: Revengance, Resident Evil 6). Nevertheless, one title has yet to be released: South Park: The Stick of Truth. That along with my enormous backlog of games should keep me busy for quite some time.
Oh, and I almost forgot about Watch_Dogs. I hope that the title being pushed back didn't signify that the title was in trouble.

There's a game I SHOULD be looking forward to... :
I'm disappointed that there will be no new original Gabriel Knight adventure game, but instead a remake of the first title. :(
