User changing multiple titles to question marks

I recently noticed that on a number of my lists, mostly with games, a large number of titles have had their names changed to ? by Derron. Literally, a question mark in place of the correct title.

Fallout: New Vegas, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Medal of Honor, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Athena, Fable 2, Lost Planet 2, etc. were all changed in this manner, and there are probably others scattered around the site with similar naming issues.

What kind of asshole does that? Is it possible for a user to be at least temporarily suspended for doing shit like this?

He apparently does contribute to the site and edited some good information for other versions of some of those games, so if it's deliberate I'd recommend warning him and not full scale account deletion. For users who do this kind of thing even after being warned I'd be for account suspension or deletion (depending on the member), tho'. It's also possible there could be a mistake... Maybe a sibling got online and did it, or maybe he's trying to weed out re-releases of games like this Platinum Hits version of Fable 2. I've sent him a message.

I think he was trying to remove the duplicates but they really need to be merged properly. I have restored the titles, let me know if you still see any problems.

I'm sorry if I caused any problems and I was doing it intentionally as for what Tom said they were duplicates and/or things put in the wrong place and since there is no way for me to delete or move things to other areas I had thought that to be my only way.

I did not mean to do it to make people mad I'm doing it to reform the games section as there are a lot of things there that should be deleted or changed to a different section. Pumpkinate is right about the re-releases and added editions.

I will not do it again if it makes you happy insektmute but tom there really should be a merging or deleteing of whole articles so everything can be reformed and clean for easy searching of content, instead of a bunch of things poping up.(not on all searches but it happens)

Don't worry, Derron. No one's mad at you. I could tell looking over your profile that you're a contributing member to the site and wouldn't cause havoc. ;)

That being said, I have a question for you Tom. Can anyone merge items or is it just mods that have that ability? If the latter, then I'll merge these items if you tell me which should be merged into where Derron. I haven't played any of those games (though I've heard of a couple) so I'll need some help there.

EDIT: Okay, as you can tell from my response on this thread, I'm having trouble with merging at the moment. Just reply in said thread with your to-be-mergeds and Tom may have to get it taken care of until I figure this out. Sorry for the trouble. =(

@Derron: If you were trying to merge things, that's fine, but going around randomly retitling things to ? isn't the way to go about it, as it screws things up for other people.

The games in question on my lists, for example, were all pulled from Amazon using their corresponding ASIN, and in many cases, did not exist at all on the site until I added them, so I'm not sure how those are duplicates unless you or someone else manually created entries at a later date. In cases like that, those should probably be merged with the listings pulled from Amazon, not the other way around.

I feel much better now that I know that other people can see those question marks too, lol!
One week ago I found a ? in the place of the title of this game www.listal.com/game/conan-the-cimmerian-dos. As I can see, there is no duplicate in this case either. Derron, why did-you change it? Because it's a DOS and not a PC game?

No as tom said they must have just merged them and they were duplicates insektmute and as I just said they must have been merged as I did hard research involving Amazon.com also to figure out which were duplicates from the original.(not to be an asshole is for sure I'm not like that but do have a horrible temper and it's quite at the top for false accusations from you insektmute)

And Zozoulini I didn't change it because it said DOS I changed it because it was a duplicate, and again, as I said I did hard research on every game I changed and now know the right way to go about things. Again, I'm sorry.

I wasn't merging I was kind of trying to delete them I didn't know that they could be merged and merging can only be done by moderaters as you can see I am no moderater. (your starting to piss me off I didn't do it to make people mad and now that your not getting that your making me mad. I'm 19 and your 29 and look how I'm acting compared to you, your acting like a child as I'm acting like an adult.)
