URL invalid

I am trying to add an item, and every URL I am trying to use keeps coming up with the message URL Invalid, even the wikipedia one.

There is there something going on, is there any other way to enter an item?

Thank you

Any Help would be great I want to ad items for a list I am going to do, but can't without the item.

I tried adding a new band and it worked for me although i just used the "add to listal" method

i just tried adding a wiki url into the search bar and yeah the URL Invalid message came up so i think its only that way thats being effected

EDIT: it seems adding imdb links still works for the search bar

Thanks DuckNation

The items that I am trying to add are for Fictional Character section I have tired these three.

tolkiengateway.net/wiki/Beren

lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Beren

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beren

just been getting the message, I hope it is just a bug and it will get fixed, I addded items from the first web page and it worked, so fingers crossed like I said it is a bug.

Here i did it myself www.listal.com/character/beren

you can just use the "add to listal" method www.listal.com/add its a little more work but it gets the job done and im sure the bug will be fixed soon enough

Actually i think this topic will be moved over to the "Confirmed bugs" forum since we have both encountered this error.

I can't add any item from search box and "add to listal" method also didn't work for me.
DuckNation 9 years, 2 months ago at Apr 6 13:21 -
I just added two items with the "add to listal" method so yes it still does work but i have noticed it doesn't work with all links

i have noticed that both youtube and bandcamp wont let you add something from them.

What are you trying to add?

I tried "add to listal" again on different pages but it doesn't work. On google chrome, when I drag it to the page, everything on the page is lost and page turns to empty. i can add it to internet explorer and firefox pages but when i click to add nothing happens.
DuckNation 9 years, 2 months ago at Apr 6 17:19 -
ok i see your problem what you have to do is drag the "add to listal" up into your bookmarks bar like this

Issue confirmed. Using Listal Search, I couldn't import a Wikipedia page about a fictional character. "Not a valid URL..."

I found using the bookmark way works, it took a while to figure it out, but it works for now.

Hopefully the issue will be resolved.
DuckNation 9 years, 2 months ago at Apr 6 17:26 -
Then when you are on the wiki/wikia page for the fictional character you want just click on the "add to listal" a page will pop up and up select the category of the item you want to add then just click add come back to listal and search for them again and they will pop up

Having this problem now. Tried adding www.amazon.com/Air-Spikes-Back-Darren-Birch/dp/B000093FHC and it comes up as URL invalid. Tried using the Add to Listal button and it wouldn't wouldn't add. The box popped up and I entered everything and clicked the owned button and it just sat there. Would not work at all.
Kess 8 years, 6 months ago at Dec 4 9:37 -
The same with www.amazon.com/dp/B0000D0YXQ/, cannot add by pasting the url in the search box or by using the bookmarklet. (Everything else I have tried to add has worked without a glitch.)

Why is it impossible to add the following URLS?

www.imdb.com/name/nm10256352/?ref_=nv_sr_1

www.imdb.com/name/nm10328718/?ref_=fn_nm_nm_14

When using links from imdb best is to remove all extras characters after the /

example instead of www.imdb.com/title/tt18815410/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_3_tt_7_nm_1_q_the%2520quarry

Use www.imdb.com/title/tt18815410

I have never had a problem and use this feature often.
