Is the Updates Feed broken?

When I'm on the listal homepage and see the updates feed on the right, I only see content from my followers in the "Follow content (Lists, pictures, videos, reviews & votes)" category. None of the boxes I've ticked to track ratings for eg, Films, Music etc show up. I think they are supposed to, otherwise those tick boxes you select when following someone have no use.

I'm blown away by the rapid response rate.

The track ratings have nothing to do with the update feed, they will be used to display ratings from people you follow on a movie page and calculate the people you follow rating score, also used for the recommendations page. That could be made a clearer on the follow popup
