What do ya'll think about twilight. Who would ya'll choose Vampire or Werewolve
edwardsheroin 14 years, 11 months ago at Jun 2 17:22 -
First to write...what an honour...I am a fanpire, so I love unconditionally and irrevocably Twilight. And I'd want to be a vampire, of course. Me loves Edward:X:X: But I love Rob more;))
PvtCaboose91 14 years, 11 months ago at Jun 3 3:24 -
Going to be honest...
Stephanie Meyer has defamed the honourable species of vampires and werewolves by writing an erotica series that is basically a wimpy Emo version of Underworld. The characters are one-dimensional and either needy or condescending. Bella is annoyingly stupid, and Edward is over-protective and interfering. It's a a supernatural romance in which both the supernatural and romance elements feel rushed, unformed and insufficiently motivated. The story may be interesting, but Meyer's writing is awful.

It's a shallow, DULL series aimed at dateless tweens and lonely college gals.
Devious Phenomenon 14 years, 11 months ago at Jun 3 18:59 -
Wow PVT, I've found my rolemodel :D

Also, for the version of Underworld, you forgot disneyfied. Vampires do NOT sparkle, it COMPLETELY contradicts and destroys the Vampire as both a species NOT Tampered with to a piece of crap by pop culture (thanks Steph for killing my childhood memories of vampires, I'll be sure to right a very very dark vampire story to get over your scarring on me) it also completely makes the vampire an inferior species, sparkling completely destroys the very thing that makes a vampire so interesting, it's haunting agility and stealth, it's aura as a predator.
She basically took one of the coolest and most creatures in the fantasy realms and made it into a fairy with sharp teeth. That's like putting a frog outfit on a cat and calling it a dinosaur! you don't do it!

Not only that, the book did a fine job of butchering it, but let me say, the movie made an even bigger atrocity with the low budget attempt at good effects, Fail. Epic Fail.

In short, I'd choose the real vampire, which would enjoy toying with twilight vampires, evicerating them and using their intestines to hang them with, they'd of committed suicide anyways, I just got to them first. Why give them the satisfaction of dying at their own hands and taking my right to kill the very thing that killed a part of me? In fact, I don't even need to be a vampire, I could be a human with a freaking dillinger(the peashooter of guns) you sparkle, you're about as hard to hit as a freaking brick wall.
Wallow in your filth that is Twilight.
PvtCaboose91 14 years, 11 months ago at Jun 3 23:05 -
Devious, your post is 100% spot-on. Glad my harsh words were to your liking :D

No idea why, but I decided to waste a few minutes of my life watching the New Moon trailer. It just provided me with additional ammunition for my ravings about how much the series sucks in any form.

If you want to see a vampire movie done correctly, you MUST check out Let the Right One In. That Swedish gem is Twilight done correctly. Brutal genre shocks, a beautifully moving story, great acting, surprisingly original... It's superb. And it has already been targeted for a US remake (*sigh*) with Matt Cloverfield Reeves at the helm (*bigger sigh*).

Hehehe...I like this picture:
Devious Phenomenon 14 years, 11 months ago at Jun 4 1:46 -
Eh, sounds like I'd be better off watching the original rather then americanized XD
Rather not watch some butchery America put together half assed. That's what cartoons are for.

Haha, you know that warm tingling feeling you get when you've just sacked an entire fanbases idol? God I love that feeling. :) it's very nice

I get said feeling every single time Edward Cullen or Harry Potter comes up XD

And yes, do check out the original Swedish version of Let the Right One In. I imagine Hollywood will cram it with cheese and a few talentless child actors *shivvers at the thought*.
Devious Phenomenon 14 years, 11 months ago at Jun 4 22:37 -
Just be glad Disney can't get it's grubbypaws on it, else it'd be worse,I'drather watch every botched hollywood movie in history rather then one of those cheesy sugarcoated pieces of shit.

:D

Twilight is overrated. And it's crap. Complete and utter failure, in its most heightened form. Hello, reality check! If they were real, vampires would not sparkle. As D.P. (did you deliberately make it so your initials were that of Dr. Pepper?) so eloquently put it, it destroys the very image of vampires. I haven't even bothered to waste my time watching the New Moon trailer. I mean, if you're going to make a movie, use people who at least resemble the characters!! Dakota Fanning is playing the vampire Jane! Dakota Fanning is BLONDE, people! Jane was a brunnete! Jesus!

On a somewhat off-topic note; Twilight should not have fanbase. The sappy Twilight fans in the world are bad enough separately. They should NEVER be allowed to congregate together. Ever.
Devious Phenomenon 14 years, 11 months ago at Jun 6 0:38 -
(OMG My initials are DP!!! YES!!! AWESOME!!!! DP is the best soda ever)

I loved that last part XD. Stupid obsessions can handled in small doses, pile them in one spot and you have suicide inducing conversations...

It's called pop culture(Not as in Popular, as in Pop, like the music). Blonde=Hot, Brunette=Boring, Pop culture is for the intellectually inefficient, too dependent to have some form of individuality and yet too stubborn to admit how idiotically dependent they are. The music is sometimes good (Excluding the extremely well known ones, they all stink) but the culture that came with it is almost,if not just as bad as Bling Rap culture.

Both deserve to rot in a hole in my opinion.

The book managed to win oversome of my respect in that if the chick burns all this Twilight bullshit and does some real writing, she's got great potential as a teenage novel writer. Mostly for chicks, but still she'sgot potential. Now, potential has nothing to do with skill, right now she's terrible, she won't get any better until Twilight is dead for good. She has three choices: Kill Twilight and Move On, Write More Bullshit, or Stop Writing.

I love how Stephen King attacked her :D
Seasonal Memoirs 14 years, 11 months ago at Jun 6 11:02 -
I don't care what people's hair colours are. It's hair. It doesn't matter. And EXCUSE ME, I am a brunette and I am not boring. I hope. My friends say that I'm one of the most fun people they know. Eat that, pop culture.

I love how Stephen King attacked her :D

I cannot agree more! Steven King is one of my favorite authors. He deserves a cookie XD
Devious Phenomenon 14 years, 11 months ago at Jun 6 12:42 -
@Ayame: Sure, haven't you always wonder why so many people dye their hair blonde? it's because that's what's consideredI guess... In now.
Pop culture is extremely shallow, they are completely materialistic.

Pop culture is the reason for the term "Things aren't as pretty on the inside"

Anyways, back to Twilight

no trying to brust anyones bubble ..but twilight is so lame it... the vampires in underworld are so much better

but if you ask me emmet is the best

who is your fav..
DarthKarl 14 years, 10 months ago at Jun 27 23:49 -
Twilight is the worst slagy garbage to ever be foisted upon the literary theme of vampirism. It is sooooooooooooooooooooo LAME.
Devious Phenomenon 14 years, 10 months ago at Jun 28 0:41 -
Well said lol
Seasonal Memoirs 14 years, 10 months ago at Jun 28 3:38 -
I concur. But, anyway; another thing I'd like to add:

When my mom bought the Twilight series, she read all of the books and gave them to me to read. I read the first book...and burned them all as soon as possible. I got in a lot of trouble for this, but it was SO worth not having those pieces of shit in my home anymore. Everything I currently know about Twilight is because of my mother talking about it. Honestly, when she said she loved the books..I think I died a bit inside.

Seasonal Memoirs ..you burnt the books?...something inside of you died? ...wow sounds to me your not that different from the big twilight fans. i mean...who cares, guys? it`s just a book..and just another crappy movie... if u like it..it`s your choice if u don`t, fine! still it is your CHOICE...i mean what`s with the "Vampires do NOT sparkle"..aahhhh news flash people: vampires do not exist! if someone wants to put a pink ribbon and some wings on a vampire it`s their choice and their idea of a vampire if u like it ..read it/watch/like it ..I don`t get it how this "Vampire wave" appeared,,i mean i`m from Romania ..as in Transylvania and i grew with vampire legends and each one was different....so all i`m saying is..don`t judge an idea and keep it light before your blood pressure hits the roof and a vampire comes to suck it all :)))

I dislike Twilight.
But, I'm not going to talk a bunch of shit about it.
It's completely overrated though, imo.
Anyway, I guess I'd rather be a werewolf.

(You know, sometimes I get annoyed when a good arguement gets thrashed by people who notice that they have nothing to say about the matter, yet they still feel like they have to ruin the atmosphere by saying that the conversation is pointless and irrational)

Alright, so, I love to read thick books (partly because when I read a thin book I feel like there should have been more to the story) however, I couldn't really force myself to read Twilight. Too many people at my school were reading it so I figured that it was probably something that thousands of fangirls would die to get their hands on. My friends found it necessary though to inform me on every aspect of the book. I went to see the movie(shamefully) and thought it was a very horrible film. New Moon wasn't quite as bad, but it still had its flaws. I have no idea about the book, so I can't say if the movie betrayed the story at all...

Its amazing to see all the fangirls who have dedicated their life to this series.
Seasonal Memoirs 14 years, 4 months ago at Dec 23 19:15 -
(interesting thought, Tifini. I think I'll just ignore that rude little post and continue to dislike Twilight for my rather justified reasons. :) )

Thick books are better than thin ones for me as well, because I love to sit there for hours on end and read an enthralling story.

Twilight is the opposite. it did not take me long to finish, as it was poorly written, and it was nowhere near enthralling.

You know, the fact of the matter is wether you choose vampire or werewolve, we're all still human (for the most part) and it's a book. No.. I think twilight is a sickness, or a disease. Like Miley Cyrus, I can't stand it. Sure, people have obsessions. I love video games. But it doesn't mean I'd go crazy over it.
Anyone agree?
♥DeZ-AH-RaY♥ 14 years, 4 months ago at Dec 29 23:54 -
i gotta say im a big fan of twilight.
but not to be mean to sum ppl, i like the books then the movies!

I loved the twilight series and im black na dim a gangsta so....
Gaby 13 years, 5 months ago at Dec 6 19:08 -
I do like the twilight books even though the author changed the whole concept of being a vampire and not being able to go out on the sun and all that... and I'm much more of a vampire person than a werewolve person.
TeamDaiGurren 12 years, 6 months ago at Oct 12 18:26 -
lol @ this topic. If twilight got a dollar for every time someone bought up this discussion ever (Do you like twilight?) They would have surpassed the amount of money made on the films and books combined.

It's like it doesn't matter if it gets good insight or bad. It keeps the films and book in the mainstream eye.

It's simply crazy.

I'm not really a Twilight fan, but I thought the first movie was pretty enjoyable and so was Breaking Dawn Part 1, it was pretty funny. The other 2 were pretty terrible though, especially New Moon, it felt like literally nothing was happening, just wanted it to end.

Never got past the 3rd chapter of the first book, might be harsh to say, but I've read much better fan fiction (and I've read a lot of fan fics in my life lol).

I love vampires and werewolves (old skool and everything), but to be frank I laugh whenever someone says "real vampires don't do this" or "real vampires don't do that" because there are no real vampires from all we know, maybe only a subculture who "drinks" blood, whether is actually consuming the blood or consuming the aura or whatever, that's all. There are no mythological creatures proven to exist yet, so I just find it silly when people say that.

Yeah, there are "traditional" things we know about the Mythological Vampire, but still, you can't expect everything to stay the same, no matter how stupid the whole sparkling part is, you just have to accept it's different.

Anyways I feel wrote a whole book here lol, so I'm going to shut up and answer the other question. I would pick werewolves =)

The books and movies are full of catholic symbolism, the characters are dislikable, Stephenie Meyer simply cannot write, the story is lame and it's not about vampires! Vampires do not glitter in the sun! Vampires do not live in forrests! Vampires are drinking blood of humans! Vampires have sharp canines! Wait...I noticed something! Twilight is about catholic FAIRIES!
