Am I missing something?

Shay Laren has an image with 58 votes. This image in not in Top voted images. On its place there is Nicolas Cage's with 50. How come?

You need to turn on show mature content in your account settings otherwise it won't show up.
Grey Owl 13 years, 11 months ago at May 28 18:21 -
No, it looks it does not work. I both checked and unchecked the box of Filter Mature Content - the lists stay the same as Shay Laren is missing in both cases. And actually I see other supposedly mature images.

Tom, dear, could you please check what I said about missing Shay Laren? Not that's important for me, but I believe the listal cares about fairness.

It should work now

Yes, it does. Thanks!

It is dangerous to attract attention to some images. The Top Voted Shay Laren's image (the one from above, with 58 votes) was deleted (wasn't posted like a year or more ago?). I bet the nudity was cited.

IMHO, there should be rules on this one, not a personal opinion of some moderators. The rule of thumb for women is usually a clear view of genitals. Buttock and/or breast nudity is usually PG-13 by MPAA.

I am very curious why Listal is much more conservative than MPAA, which sets a standard for such things?

Ultimately this site is about making lists of things so I don't think restricting the type of images that can be uploaded is such a bad thing. I want the focus to be on making lists, not hundreds of nude images of adult models which is really not the purpose of the site.

In the case of the image mentioned above it would be considered borderline allowable in the rules, personally I wouldn't have deleted it. Sometimes it is up to the opinion of the moderators since its hard to define what counts as a 'overly sexual' image.

Rules that are vague can easily be open to inconsistencies and personal prejudices. In contrast, movie ratings are subject to discussion by a group. Here it is enough for one person to decide. And the top voted picture (1st page), which was open for everybody to see for year (and nobody complained ;)), is deleted.

But you are the boss. As well as other moderators... There will be no revolution - we can be only grateful to our Leaders ;-)
