Let me get this right, a woman time travels to the year 1928 and expects to get decent mobile reception? I think she and audience are having a laugh!

I saw this just recently too, don't really know what to make of it except it is suggested in the video comments that it is a "1924 Siemens pocket sized carbon microphone/amplifier device" - (hearing aid device) - but still, is she talking to herself?! lol

I've watched the video closely, whilst modern eyes see a mobile phone, I stick by my main point, even if it was a mobile, who would the time traveller be calling and where was the nearest cell mast?

Personally I see a hearing aid. The Western Electric 34A carbon hearing aid to be precise. It was manufactured by the Western Electric Company in 1925. It was marketed under the "Audiphone" trade name. Judge for yourself, it can be seen here;
