Thumbnails Breaking Again!

For the love of all that's holy, we're not even two weeks from the server reset and this crap starts again???

I know.

Even adding older pics to a list causes the pic to break!

Posting here disseminates the message that the problem exists and to what degree.

I will rephrase it: posting here is not enough.

I've sent Tom a number of messages over the past year. None of them have received a reply.

Does anyone know of an alternative to listal?

I have no hopes for tag lists returning.

larger picture copies sometimes load and sometimes they don't

I remember when the pictures suddenly oversized and after THAT correction, someone posted that the higher-def versions were suddenly broken thumbs? Off course, the post was after the reboot date, so it's long gone.

Its interesting that some broken thumbnails wont open at all, but a number when you click on them do open but I have noticed they open as oversized.

Well, fingers crossed,...Campagnola just uploaded a bunch of pics to Nicola Cavanis' profile (not "page," smol difference, *shrugs*) and I can open them without a problem:

I just tested a few as well and they're holding up, too!

So far so good, wonder if they can recover all the broken pic's from last 3 days or so though!!

View all Button do not work,yesterday the broken Thumbs,today Pics do not show all ( i have to refresh Site sometimes one or two Times).
There are a lot of of Problems ,also after the Server Update..

Went back and deleted all the pictures I uploaded during this most recent broken thumb's era.

@offs: yeah, that's my plan and I communicated the same to Tom.

@thdon: have you contacted Tom? Looks like he's building a punch list of issues with the new server.

Being "site responsible" is time consumming :)

In the time that it took me to delete about 50 broken pictures RevelationEques and QUESTMAKER were able to upload about 200 resized and duplicate images.

One step forward, two steps back.

I haven't been uploading anything, @offs, let alone 200+ resized images. Maybe a few here and there, but nowhere near that number or resized images. Get your facts straight.

That's all? Clearly this was a mistake made by the system itself because 3 times the same picture uploaded at the same time? Not possible because two would be rejected automatically. Questmaker uploading 200+ images? Very possible. Duplicates and resized images? That's more up Trekmedic's alley. I haven't been posting that much like I said.

And it's starting again. Just tried to load a few images and they can't be viewed individually.

I am also noticing more and more older pictures are no longer visible. Is there any solution in the works? I no longer have these pictures saved.

I already messaged Tom, but I believe that as more and more users message him, the bigger are the chances of him working on the issue.
I think posting here isn't enough.

I have been in a dialogue with Tom. I sent him examples of the pics I posted this morning, vs pics I posted 4 days ago, that are all broken thumbs.

Tom literally replied to me as I was making my last post and he believes the problem has been corrected. I deleted the affected pics from today and re-loaded them and they are viewable without any issues.

Hardly any thumbnails will load, its impossible to look at the larger images.
Is this site just permanently broken now?

I'm not having that problem right now. What browser are you using and also, reach out to Tom about it with examples, if you can.

Pictures are now taking longer than usual to upload and resulting in broken thumbs. The individual pics, however, are able to be viewed. Message has been sent to Tom.

Things are slightly better. I've found if you wait long enough, you get a broken thumbnail link you can click on to see the larger image, which loads about 75% of the time.

Examples are numerous. Any given page seems to contain up to about half of the thumbnails broken.

Well, the upload issue cleared up about an hour after I messaged Tom. I would report that 1348 pic to Tom to see if he can do anything with it?

It's starting up again! 5 new pics that are completely unviewable individually.

Just noticed similar with two images I posted of Alisia Ludwig on 9th October 2024, both worked initially now today one opens and the other does not.
@TrekMedic - do you think it will be a case of deleting and re downloading (Again) ?

indeed, more and more pictures are disappearing and all of my recent pictures do no show.

I advised Tom as soon as I noticed it, too.

Some pictures are showing up, and others not.
